The book does do quite well though managing to keep the topics interesting Which is a difficult task for any historical textbook, especially dealing with college students! However, for a quick brush up on reading, or for any average reader looking to gain some insight into this time period, I'd certainly recommend it.
I have an above average interest with history, so I enjoyed the book immensely. Some of other college friends.. Bear in mind, they are in college. I've picked it back up a few times and done a few reads over it to brush up on history.
