I overall this DVD set is an amazing resource and should be in every library! Buy it! This is definitely something that I wish I had picked up earlier than I did. Many of you were probably like me That is exactly how I felt until I got them. After watching these moves performed by a master and explained in the BEST ways, I have a new appreciation for the basic sleights.
I really reccomend these DVDs; most of the material was things that I just looked over or never really gave any thought to when reading through the basic texts of magic. IN addition, Daryl teaches some of his favorite moves that he created that you don't find anywhere else! But most importantly, you get to watch a master who is fantastic at ALL of them breath new life into these.
Added in between are what Daryl calls, "Trick Breaks". Some you have seen, some you haven't, but these really help to show the usefulness of the moves in context of a routine to really see which ones you like and don't like. A MUST! If your a card worker Daryl teaches some great tricks as well as moves in which you can create your own. He goes into great detail and there is great camera angles so you can see him do the sleight.
Buy them and you will enjoy!!!!! These DVDs are why I am a magician, everything involves a regular deck, making everything examinable. Unbelievable amount of tricks you can create with these sleights. I'd chop off my big toe for this set. Daryl's the best. A perfect five. A must have for the serious card handler. Daryl goes through step by step showing you just about any move or sleight you can imagine.
Great stuff. If you get it, get it on DVD or you'll spend hours fast forwarding, and rewinding. I highly recommend all 8 volumes.
